Monthly Meeting October – Eclipse Chasing is Addictive

A total solar eclipse is something that everyone should experience in their lifetime. I have been fortunate to see several solar eclipses and each one has been unique. With upcoming eclipses in 2027, 2028 and three crossing New Zealand in the 2030’s, there is the opportunity for you to experience one as well. Sharing some of my experiences from past eclipses, I will talk about what to think about when planning
for eclipse viewing, such as location and equipment. The only danger is that once you have experienced it once, you want to see more.
